Terms & Conditions
We strongly recommend that you read the full Terms & Conditions and associated documents before your hire.
These documents set out your obligations and responsibilities while the vehicle is in your possession or control and include important information about insurance, liability, damage and other charges.
Together with your booking confirmation and Rental Agreement, the applicable documents below form part of the contractual terms governing your hire.
Current Documents
Additional Charges That May Apply
In addition to the basic rental charge, other charges may apply depending on what happens before, during or after your hire. The current Tariff Guide and your Rental Agreement remain authoritative, but common examples include the following.
- Excess mileage: currently 20p per mile above the mileage allowance stated on your Rental Agreement.
- Cancellation: where less than 48 hours' notice is given for a prepaid booking, the current published cancellation fee is 100%.
- No-show: where a prepaid booking is not cancelled and the vehicle is not collected, the current published fee is 100% of the first two days' rental charge.
- Refuelling: a refuelling charge and the applicable cost of fuel may apply if the vehicle is returned with less fuel than recorded at collection.
- Damage administration: currently £40 where we have to process damage caused while the vehicle is in your possession.
- Engineering assessment: the current Tariff Guide lists a £40 desktop engineering fee or £80 engineer's fee where applicable, in addition to the damage administration fee.
- Administration: currently £40 where we have to provide hirer details to a third party, for example in connection with parking, congestion or other road-user charges, or where specified for replacement accessories or keys.
- Extension: the current published extension fee is £5 where an agreed extension is made.
- Late return: the current published late check-in fee is £8, and additional rental charges may also apply.
- Unauthorised extension: currently £40 in addition to rental charges where the required notice for an extension is not given.
- Driver-error breakdown: customer-caused faults may result in call-out, repair, recovery, towing and other associated charges.
- Unpaid charges: the current Tariff Guide lists a £50 administration fee, with reasonable legal fees, statutory court costs and interest potentially payable in addition where applicable.
