Taking a Hire Vehicle within the M25 or Greater London
If you are travelling within Greater London, you need to ensure that you have paid the Congestion Charge (CC), T-Charge, Low Emission Zone Charge (LEZ), Ultra Low Emission Zone Charge (ULEZ), and Dart Charge if you are travelling through any of these areas, tolls or zones. Failure to pay these charges on the day of travel will result in a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) being issued against you.
Congestion Charge
The Congestion Charge is a £15.00 daily charge for driving a vehicle within the charging zone (CCZ). The Congestion Charge is payable between 07:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday and 12:00 to 18:00 on Saturday, Sunday, and bank holidays. There is no charge between Christmas Day and New Year's Day bank holiday (inclusive).

Ultra Low Emission Zone Charge
The Ultra Low Emission Zone Charge is a daily charge which runs from midnight to midnight, 7 days a week, except Christmas Day. From August 2021 the zone now covers almost all areas of Greater London. The Ultra Low Emission Zone Charge is a £12.50 or £100.00 daily charge depending on the vehicle.

Dart Charge
The Highways Agency has changed the way drivers pay to use the Dartford Crossing (Dart Charge). Drivers no longer pay at the barriers, instead they pay in advance or by midnight the day after crossing. The Dart Charge is payable between 06:00 and 22:00 7 Days a week.

Low Emission Zone Charge
We do not believe that the Low Emission Zone Charge is applicable to any of our vehicles, but it is the hirer's responsibility to check, and ensure they pay any applicable charges.
The Low Emission Zone operates to encourage the most polluting heavy diesel vehicles driving in London to become cleaner. The Low Emission Zone covers most of Greater London and the daily charge runs from midnight to midnight, 7 days a week, except Christmas Day. The Low Emission Zone Charge is a £100.00 or £200.00 daily charge which is in addition to the Congestion Charge.

Did you forget to pay? - Don't worry, using the links above you can still avoid a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) if you pay:
Congestion Charge: You can pay the Congestion Charge until 23:59 hours on the next charging day.
Low Emission Zone Charge: You can pay the Low Emission Zone Charge until 23:59 hours on the next working day.
Ultra Low Emission Zone Charge: You can pay the Ultra Low Emission Zone Charge until 23:59 hours on the next working day.
Dart Charge: You can pay the Dart Charge until 23:59 hours on the day after you cross.
Fines and Penalty Charge Notices
If you get caught speeding, illegally parking, failing to pay any of the London Charges or any other offence whilst driving one or our vehicles your details will be forwarded to the enforcing authority. We will charge you a £40.00 administration fee for each and every occurrence.
