Taking a Hire Vehicle within the M25 or Greater London
If you are travelling within Greater London, you need to ensure that you have paid the Congestion Charge (CC), T-Charge, Low Emission Zone Charge (LEZ), Ultra Low Emission Zone Charge (ULEZ), and Dart Charge if you are travelling through any of these areas, tolls or zones. Failure to pay these charges on the day of travel will result in a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) being issued against you.
The Congestion Charge is a £15.00 daily charge for driving a vehicle within the charging zone (CCZ). The Congestion Charge is payable between 07:00 and 22:00, 7 days a week, except Christmas Day.

The Ultra Low Emission Zone Charge is a £12.50 or £100.00 daily charge depending on the vehicle.

Low Emission Zone Charge

The Low Emission Zone operates to encourage the most polluting heavy diesel vehicles driving in London to become cleaner. The Low Emission Zone covers most of Greater London and the daily charge runs from midnight to midnight, 7 days a week, every day of the year. The Low Emission Zone Charge is a £100.00 or £200.00 daily charge which is in addition to the Congestion Charge.
