Who can hire?
We can hire to you, providing you fit within our criteria below:

Minimum Age: 21 Years Old
Maximum Age: 75 Years, 364 days Old

Driving Experience: Minimum 24 Months

Licence Endorsements: Maximum of 2^ minor endorsements with 3 penalty points each (^1 for under 25 years old & none for under 23 years old)

If you have points / endorsements / convictions on your licence or you have had an accident in the past 36 months please contact us for further advice.

Hiring & Insurance Requirements
Driving Licence
All drivers need to hold a full current driving licence. Foreign licence holders must hold a national licence issued in their country of nationality and are subject to an additional insurance check. A valid International Driving Permit is required should a foreign licence be in any language other than English. Non UK licence holders who have resided in the UK for more than 12 months need to have passed the UK driving test and possess a full UK licence. Please contact us if you need further information.

If your UK driving licence is illegible, has been de-faced, has been mislaid you may present an alternative photographic identification, such as your passport, and your driving licence number. If you do not know your driving licence number you should contact the DVLA on 0300 083 0013 (Monday - Friday 9am-5pm) to obtain this information.

Drivers Age & Driving Experience
All Vans :
You need to be aged between 21 and 69 years and have held a full current driving licence for a minimum 2 years.
Please be aware that there may be an additional charge for young drivers under 23 years old.

Driving Licence Categories
Please check your licence for the following categories depending on the vehicle you wish to hire:

Category B - To hire all Vans.

Licence Endorsements, Motoring Convictions & Previous Accidents
Our insurers will generally accept up to two endorsements and a total of six points for minor offences such as speeding, although an additional insurance premium may be charged. If you are 23 years old or younger, your licence must be 'clean' or endorsement free.

You should be aware that most minor penalties such as speeding are valid on your licence for 4 years, and other more severe penalties, such as drink driving are valid for up to 11 years.

On Collection of your Hire Vehicle
What documentation do I need to bring when I collect my vehicle?
When collecting your vehicle you must bring the following:
  • Your full and valid UK Photocard driving licence. (If you do not have a Photocard Licence a Photo ID is also required.)
  • Your driving licence 'Check Code' (see below). - This must be printed out and supplied with your licence.
  • Your UK National Insurance number.
  • Your approved second form of identification (see below).
  • Your valid credit or debit card.

Identification - showing the drivers name and address.
You are required to supply identification when hiring a vehicle. Alongside your driving licence we require one additional identification document which is dated within the past 60 days which shows your name and your current home address. Acceptable forms of identification are:
  • Utility Bill. - Not Mobile Phone.
  • Bank Statement.
  • Credit Card Statement.
If one of the above is unavailable, two of the following documents are acceptable:
  • Council Tax Bill - which is not more than 12 months old.
  • Local Council rent agreement / Rent Book - must be valid on the day of hire.
  • Private Landlord Tenancy Agreement issued by an Estate Agency - must be valid on the day of hire.
  • HP Agreement - which is no more than 60 days old.
  • Life Assurance Policy - which is not more than 12 months old.
  • Mortgage statement - which is not more than 12 months old.
  • Your last payslip providing it shows your address.
Internet printed documents are acceptable.

Personal correspondence and other papers such as receipts, library tickets, mobile phone bills, HMRC documents, other insurance documents, Benefit & Pension documents, DVLA Issued documents, Tax reminders, V5 Logbooks, etc. are not acceptable.
